Tachomaster Vehicle Unit Reader

The AA Tachomaster Digital Tachograph Vehicle Unit Reader connects directly to all Vehicle Digital Tachograph Units - Siemens VDO, Stoneridge and Actia - to download tachograph data. Data can then be transferred to your PC via a USB port or by placing the unit's SD-Card into a suitable reader.

OPTAC Download tool**

The OPTAC is a battery powered (2 x AA) digital driver card and VU reader. It can be used as either a fixed, mobile or remote device:

• Fixed - may be screwed to the desk in a traffic office for download of driver cards for later transfer to Tachomaster
• Mobile - may be taken around vehicles and drivers for collection of data
• Remote - can be used by drivers who spend time away from base, the files can then be downloaded from the unit and emailed back for analysis

PLEASE NOTE: This unit is offered in place of the Tachomaster Smart Card Reader and Tachomaster Vehicle Unit Reader. If you already have one or both of these, you may not require the OPTAC Download tool, but may instead use your Tachomaster Smart Card Reader and Tachomaster Vehicle Unit Reader to download your driver and vehicle data.

The Optac "Away from base kit" is ideal for those drivers who mainly work away from base. Comprising an Optac Download Tool, VU cable and two memory sticks, it allows the driver to capture the Tachograph and Smartcard data remotely. The download tool can then transfer the data onto a memory stick for posting back to base.

2m USB Cable**

2 metre USB cable to connect a Tachomaster Vehicle Download Unit or OPTAC Download Tool to your computer. These devices come supplied with one USB cable, but this 2m cable can be used to replace a broken or lost cable. Alternatively, if you connect your download device to more than one computer, buy one cable for each computer to simplify connection of your hardware.

Analogue Disk Scanner**

The Analogue Disk Scanner is a high-quality duplex colour scanner with an automatic sheet feeder for scanning multiple Analogue Tachograph disks in a single operation. Quick and simple to install, it will interface directly with AA Tachomaster, allowing you to scan and analyse your Analogue Tachograph charts automatically, and to save the data directly to your AA Tachomaster system. The Analogue Disk Scanner requires one free USB 2.0 port on your PC.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The scanner offered for sale on this website has had a manufacturer upgrade to enable tachograph charts to be scanned. Scanners sourced elsewhere may not be able to scan tachograph charts correctly, or may require upgrading to ensure correct function.

Scanner Cleaning Wipes

Regular cleaning of your scanner is essential to ensure that your scanner continues to operate correctly. These specially formulated soft polyester pads, supplied in packs of 10, are ideal for cleaning scanner feed rollers and will help you keep your scanner in top condition.
